Palliative care is a department that serves to increase the quality of life of patients and their relatives who encounter problems arising from life-threatening diseases.

 

      It provides services related to the treatment of the problems of patients with chronic diseases, cerebral hemorrhage, paralysis or bedridden, feeding and relieving pain of patients with end-stage cancer, providing nutritional support to elderly patients with malnutrition, and providing medical and psychosocial support for medically incurable diseases.

     In the Palliative Care Center; Internal Medicine Specialists, Social Workers, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Psychologists, Spiritual Support Specialists, Nurses and Clinical Support Teams serve. Family interviews are conducted with eligible patients, patients and their relatives who request it, and information is provided about the patient's condition and process. In this difficult process, patients and their relatives are helped.

    The physiotherapist helps patients who are bedridden for a long time to walk with in-bed exercises. It helps prevent bed complications that may occur in patients who cannot walk. Physical therapy is planned and applied according to the needs of the patients.

      The dietitian helps to determine the nutritional status of all patients and to plan the appropriate diet and diet.

      The psychologist provides the psychological support of the family members who care for the patients in this difficult process, in order to ensure the motivation of the patients in this difficult process.

      Spiritual support specialist provides moral support services to patients who come and make requests on certain days of the week.

      Our clinical support team assists in the care and cleaning of patients who need care.

      Palliative Care Service, with its 25 bed capacity, serves all our patients in the region and meets an important need in this regard.
